Before I even begin explaining why I’m opening a blog I have to admit that I wasn’t suppose to do that. I have blogged in the past — in fact, a couple of months ago, I closed my other design-related blog — and I remember the great joy of seeing my small Designr.it community growing back then. However, due to the lack of time and an overwhelming amount of work I had to abandon Designr.it Blog and take it offline eventually. So why am I opening another one?

Phrase from a project description in my portfolio.

„Aesthetically Written” was born from my need to have a publishing machine for larger blocks of text. All I wanted to do was to incorporate a Content Management System into my portfolio so it could facilitate posting of case studies of the project I’m/was involved in. WordPress came in handy. I sliced my previous portfolio into a few chunks of PHP code and edited the default WordPress theme (as you can see — I’m not quiet done yet).

What I realized was that, since I already had a working blogging platform, nothing could have stopped me from actually blogging. It means that you might expect to see some interesting articles here in the future and not only my project analysis.

I’ll do my best to deliver you some top quality content here. I will share tricks, fresh ideas, ramble on about usability, user experience, typography, graphic & web design and all things related. I will also avoid to write on personal facts at the same time — I use Twitter for those.

I hope you’ll find “Aesthetically Written” a warm and cosy place to talk about design and to draw inspiration from.
